Program Information
The Master of Engineering and Technology Management
degree requires 30 semester hours of course work and two to four
credits of a final non-thesis team project or comprehensive exam.
The program is interdisciplinary, with course offerings in
engineering management, general technical engineering electives and
business courses.
All
of the EM courses are available through the Washington Higher
Education Television System, (WHETS), as well via concurrent
videostreaming over the World Wide Web. Engineering
Management professors may originate class from any of WSU's
campuses or educational outreach sites on a rotating basis. T
In this unique learning environment, students operate in two
distinct group environments. Personal interaction and teamwork
occurs with their colleagues at the shared learning site; while the
WHETS environment offers simultaneous, interactive participation
from students and faculty throughout the network.
This style of learning, which mirrors the growing use of
teleconferencing and other two-way and multiple-way communications
systems now being utilized in industry, offers participants a
variety of collaborative and team experiences through personal and
electronic interaction. Since students in these classes come from a
variety of professional and engineering backgrounds, they
bring a variety of real-life experiences and learn from each other
as well as from the instructor and course materials.
Pullman
Office is located in ETRL 336.
