    Resources

A lot of time can be wasted in search of information that should only be one click away. Our resources page is one attempt to solve that problem. If you have a suggestion for a resource that you commonly use and think others may find as useful as you do, please let us know.

  • WebCT Help for New Students:

WSU's ETM courses are presented and managed using a legacy version of WebCT, a subset of Blackboard, a web-enabled course hosting platform.  Each student must log-in to WebCT to access all of the information and resources your professor wants you to use for a particular class.  When you register online for a class, your WebCT account is automatically created.     You will log-in to WebCT using your WSU Network ID (NID) and password.    To activate your account, please log-in to WebCT as soon as you receive your NID, but be aware that access to individual classes is usually not available until the first class day of each semester.  If you  have questions or problems, contact the WSU Computer Help Desk:  helpdesk@wsu.edu  or  (509) 335-HELP.

WebCT is easy to use, but there are some tricks to the trade.  New users may want to visit these Sites for more information about the system's capabilities.

  • VideoStreaming:

Each ETM class is broadcast over the web at the same time the live session is presented in our studio classroom.  There is a short delay (usually much less than a minute) as the video signal is coded and broadcast over the network.  The videostream for each class is also archived, and is available for review during the entire semester.  (Archived streams are usually not available until the day following the live class.)  Professors will post the passwords to the streams in the class WebCT space.

    System Requirements for Videostreaming.
Find your class and log-in to videostreaming.
